Dunbar Sloane conducted its first art auction in 1935. Since then we have regularly held Fine and Affordable art auctions, selling approximately 45,000 works ranging from Goldie and McCahon to works by international artists and local print makers. We have a number of experienced art consultants based in both Wellington and Auckland. 

We regularly travel throughout the country to appraise collections as well as assessing works that are presented in our Wellington and Auckland offices. We have been privileged in being selected to value the nations art collection at Te Papa as well as the fine historical art collection held at the National Library. We have also been chosen to value many provincial museum collections.
